I absolutelyacomaf loved this book! It is probably one of my favourites of 2016 and I just felt satisfied after finishing, ready to read more.

A Court of Mist and Fury is the sequel to A Court of Thorns and Roses, and in my opinion is so much better. It follows Feyre in her changing path into immortality and how the events under the mountain are still haunting her. This dark tale of love, conflict and magic paints a mystical dark journey of self-discovery and how not everything Feyre learnt in the first novel is in fact what it seems. New things will come in to light as Feyre battles with the coming darkness and the development of her new relationships with those who were seen as the enemy.

First thing to say is that this book is that it was written so perfectly and Sarah J Maas just seems to have a captivating style of writing, leaving you immersed in her amazing fantastical world. Feyre’s character goes through a lot in this book, and her development as a character is just so well captured and makes her a better character than we saw in ACOTAR and I definitely felt more connected to her because of this. Looking at the events through her mind just creates a deeper connection to her suffering and allows readers to just immerse themselves into her feelings. She is such a strong and real character, who despite facing much darkness still manages to see some light within the world and finds determination to carry on fighting. I think this is vital for anyone to have – the strength to fight in times of great peril.

Another thing I particularly enjoyed about this book was the magical aspect. It’s much more beautiful and enchanting to read. Also I think that each person will envision the new destinations/ landscapes in their own way, making it a different experience for each person to read and much more unique. We are also introduced to new characters within the book, that just make the scenes much more comical and entertaining. Highly recommend this series to new adult readers who enjoy fantasy and romance (does contain mature content).
